8 Fun Holiday Party Games

Everyone loves fun party games, especially during the holiday season. Holidays games are a great way to engage everyone to play along and mingle with your guests. The trick is to choose the right game by looking at group diversity and the theme of the get-together.

We have put together a list of 8 fun holiday party games that you can enjoy with your friends and family during any holiday season. Check it out:

    Guess the Number

This is a simple yet exciting game. Welcome your guests by handing them a piece of paper and a pencil. Next, ask them to guess the number of ornaments you have on your Christmas tree. You can ask them to guess anything else related to the holiday theme as well. The guests will have to write this number down on the piece of paper you’ve given them. Whoever guesses the right number or the closest one wins a prize. In case two or more people have guessed the same number, you can draw a name from a box and have a winner.

    Holiday Pictionary

This drawing game involves a lot of teamwork. Each team can have two or more people in it. Every member has to draw a holiday theme-based item on a board for their team to guess. The team that guesses the correct item first gets to win.

    Charades

You can make charades more fun by giving it a theme. For example, if it’s Christmas, you can have a Christmas-based theme. Like regular charades, one person from each team has to act out a Christmas carol or any Christmas related item. The person acting is not allowed to speak or use any letters or signs. The other members of the team are supposed to guess what it is that they’re trying to convey through their movements.

    Mingling

If you want to have a little fun and mingle with other people at a holiday party, there is a great game called mingling. All you need is a piece of paper and a pen. Write down different questions on the paper related to the holiday theme. For example, “Who went Christmas caroling last year?” Each of the players will have to answer and ask other players if they have any similar answers. This is fun and engaging, but it also helps to break the ice between guests and help people socialize.

    Never Have I Ever

You can play this game only if you have guests over the age of 21 since it involves drinking. You can even base this game according to the theme of the holiday. The first player starts the game by simply stating one thing that they have never done. If any of the other players have done that particular thing, they have to take a drink. The game continues in the same way around the circle, and almost every player will likely drink at least once.

    Guess Who

If you want to have a good laugh and be a little creative, this is the right game to play. Write down a few traits about each guest on different pieces of paper. The traits should be funny and witty if you want to have a good time. Then read out all of the traits written on each paper, and the guests will have to guess who the person is. However, this game means that every guest should know each other to be able to guess, so it’s best to play this game with family or with friends who are like family.

    Blind Man

This is super fun! You might have even played this game as a kid. Basically, in this game, one person has to wear a blindfold and catch all the others. While you might think that you need a lot of space to play these games, it actually becomes even more fun when there are many people, and the room is quite small.

    Find These Things

This can be a fun game for kids as well as adults. You can hide some of the items you have at home (the items can also be theme-based according to the holiday season), and then everyone will have to look for them around the house. The person who finds most of the items first will, of course, win the game.

    EndNote

Holiday party games are super fun. Whether you’re entertaining family, friends or even hanging out with your office colleagues at the annual office party, these games are a great way to get people talking and interacting with each other.
