Household Mold Remedies

2.    Use Baking Soda with Water

Who would have thought this kitchen staple can help kill mold? Baking soda is quite effective in removing black molds. Additionally, it can absorb moisture that attracts the fungus. Unlike white vinegar, baking soda needs to be mixed with water.

Add 1/3rd tablespoon of baking soda and some water in a spraying bottle and spray the mold-fest area. Use a clean brush to scrub the area to remove stubborn mildew. If the infected spots still remain, spray some more of the baking soda mixture onto the affected surface. Dry without wiping and see the desired result in no time!

3.    Disinfect with Lemons

Lemons are considered the best stain cleaner and remover. They also serve as natural bleach and deodorizer. Using them for removing visible mold can be a great household remedy.

All you have to do is squeeze in a few lemons in a glass or cup and splash it over the moldy spot(s). Let it stay for a couple of minutes and then wipe the space with a damp rag. Continue doing it until all the mold stains are completely removed.

4.    Use Essential Oils

The best part about this DIY method is the pleasant smell you get afterward. Mix tea tree oil with a cup of water in a spray bottle. Mix thoroughly and spray over the fungus-ridden area. Tea tree oil works as a natural insect repellant that helps kill the mold instantly. Finally, wipe the surface with a clean cloth after an hour.

These are the best household mold remedies you should try in case your home is infected with severe mold. These methods are also safe for you, your family, and pets. So, use them without any risk or tension!
