Clogged Drain

Cleaning is a chore, whether you do it once a day or once a week. On top of the time it takes to do it, you also have to know how to clean each area properly. While some stuff in your home is easy to clean, like countertops, other things are a little more challenging, like figuring out how to clean metal surfaces. There are a few different ways to clean metal surfaces, and it all depends on what type of metal surface you’re trying to clean and what products you want to use. This post will give you a few different ways to clean metal surfaces to make this process a little easier.

Using Lemon

One of the most versatile cleaning agents around is lemon. It smells great, but it’s also effective at cutting through grime and removing stubborn stains. And, best of all, it’s completely natural and gentle on surfaces. When it comes to cleaning metal surfaces, lemon is an excellent choice. Whether you’re dealing with tarnished silver or stainless steel that’s lost its shine, a few squirts of lemon juice can help to restore the original luster. Just apply the liquid to a cloth and rub it into the metal in a circular motion. Then, rinse the residue with water and dry the surface with a clean towel.

Using Vinegar

Vinegar is a popular household cleaning agent that you can use for various tasks, including cleaning metal surfaces. Metal is susceptible to corrosion, so it’s essential to clean it regularly to prevent build-up. Vinegar is an acidic substance, making it effective at breaking down corrosion and grime. In addition, vinegar is non-toxic and won’t damage your metal surfaces like some harsh chemicals can. To clean with vinegar, make a solution of one part vinegar to eight parts water.  Apply the solution to the metal surface with a clean cloth and scrub gently until the dirt and grime are gone. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. You’ll be amazed at how bright and shiny your metal surfaces will be!

Using Baking Soda

Baking soda is another effective and natural way to clean metal surfaces. It is a mild abrasive that can remove dirt, grime, and stains without scratching the surface. Baking soda is also non-toxic and safe to use around children and pets. To clean with baking soda, make a paste with water and apply it to the surface with a cloth or brush. Scrub in a circular motion until the dirt comes off, then rinse with clean water.  Baking soda is an inexpensive and easy way to keep your metal surfaces looking new. You can use baking soda to clean aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and brass. You may need to leave the paste on for several minutes before scrubbing for stubborn stains.
