Stuck In A Rut Feeding Your Family?

I don’t know about you but I’m always looking for fast, easy creative ways to spice up meal time. It doesn’t matter how large or small your family, preparing meals can get boring. Well here is a fun idea you probably have not thought of. Your Waffle Iron is not just for waffles. It is amazingly fast and can be used for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Check out the videos in this article and in less than 4 minutes we make an amazing breakfast meal and some lunch sandwiches. I have used a standard waffle iron and a Belgian waffle iron and it works well in each of them. Sometimes pre-spraying the iron with cooking spray will help depending on what you are preparing.

For breakfast think anything with potatoes, cheese, eggs, peppers, onions, precooked meat, spinach and more. You can make almost any combination of scramble and it comes out perfect, crispy and fast every time. If starting with uncooked potatoes I have found that you can only use shredded so that they fully cook. Bigger squares just don’t work unless they are precooked.

For lunch your waffle iron will make awesome grilled cheese or any kind of melt or hot sandwich you want to make. Just butter the outside of each side of bread add your fillings and put it in. Keep in mind to not overfill, so you don’t get spillage out of the iron. At first, I hold the iron down to make sure to smash it in a little so it fully cooks but then give it time to finish its cycle and it will come out crispy and very nice.

For dinner think waffle iron shepherd’s pie. Try cheese, shredded potatoes, precooked meat, and veggies. For desert think white bread, buttered on each side, a little pie filling, and then once it’s done a sprinkle with powdered sugar.
