What To Do With Leftover Paint

Bold Backsplash

Are you bored of dreaded kitchen walls? You can breathe a new life into the kitchen by painting the walls. Have tiles in the kitchen? No issues; you can even paint over the existing tiles. However, it’s best to consult the tile manufacturer to check the best primer and paint suitable for the project.

Create Your Artwork With Fabrics

Here’s another great option if you don’t have much of the remaining paint. For most of us, the fabric isn’t what we consider while re-using the leftover paint. But, if you feel you’re good with brushes, you can give a new life to your outdoor rugs and doormats. You can also consider curtains, including shower curtains, pillows, and lampshades.

Add Color To The Trims

Who said baseboards or window frames are supposed to be white? They don’t have to be the same color as the door either. You can add character to the room by adding poppy colors to the trim. This works pretty well with bathrooms, kid’s rooms, or home offices. Or perhaps there’s a room in the house that may appreciate a bit of color.

Fireplace

The fireplace may not be on the top of your mind, but you can brighten them up for the colder months. Depending on the amount of paint and the size of the fireplace you have, you can coat the surface or the face. For a quick and more minor task, focus on the mantle.

Decorate The Frames

Whether it’s a mirror or your favorite family picture, you can completely transform the look with a bit of splash of color. You can even create your artwork by painting all the frames in your living room with the same color. If you want a vibrant look or don’t have much of the same color, paint all the frames with contrasting colors.

Wrapping Up

Since the leftover paint can’t be thrown in the trash, you’ve got to do something with it. Don’t let it sit idle in your garage. Instead, pick up any of the mentioned DIY projects for the following weekend. So, pick up your brushes and let the creativity flow naturally within you. If you don’t want to use the paint, make sure you dispose of it off responsibly, as it may turn into hazardous waste if not handled properly.
